Description
Overview
ADSS cable is stranded loose tube cable. A loose tube constructed of high modulus polymers is filled with 250μm fibers. A water-resistant filling material is used to fill the tubes. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded into a compact and circular cable core around a FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) as a non-metallic central strength part. After the filling compound has been applied to the cable core. It has a thin PE inner shell covering it. The aerial fiber cable is finished with a PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath after a stranded layer of aramid yarns is put over the inner sheath as a strength member.
The ADSS aerial cables are strong enough to enable for installation of lengths of up to 1000 meters between support towers. To lessen the load on tower structures caused by cable weight, wind, and ice, ADSS cable is designed to be light weight and tiny in diameter.
Features
- Can be installed without shutting off the power.
- Excellent mechanical performance.
- Good performance of tensile strength and temperature.
- Light weight and small diameter reducing the load caused by ice/wind, as well as the load on towers
and backprops. - Long life span time over 30 years.
