    Description

    BD-OP-64E1-4GE-V is 64 E1 Fiber optic Multiplexer based on Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). It multiplexes 64 E1 and 1000Mb/s Ethernet to optical fiber ports. With the feature of ADM, E1 can be configured to add/drop at one element of the network in chain or ring topology. All E1 can be fast protected when any failure occurs for ring topology application. In a chain or ring network, the gigabit Ethernet channel is shared by all elements, and 50ms self healing is also achieved in case of failure of ring topology. In point-to-point mode, the Ethernet transmission bandwidth can be doubled to 2.5G by setting the port-aggregation function.

    Typical Application

    64 E1 fiber optic multiplexer supports point-to-point, point-to-dual point, ring and chain network application:

    In point-to-point topology, the Ethernet transmission bandwidth can be doubled to 2000M by setting the port-trunking function.

    In ring and chain topology, there can be several RP1000 equipment (Gigabit Ethernet and 16E1 optical fiber multiplexer with 4/8/16 E1,3 copper gigabit Ethernet interfaces and one fiber gigabit Ethernet interface), each RP1000 occupy 4/8/16 E1.

    Note:The optical line can multiplex one path of GE signal and up to 80 E1s.

     

    Note: The LA<->LB connection sequence is required for all elements in the Ring or Chain networks

     

    Note: port trunking function, which allows several ports to be grouped together as a single logic link between two switches, to increase the bandwidth and improve the connection reliability.
