    DB37/MDR68 cable

    1. Function: Converts signals between 16 individual BNC coaxial connectors and a DB37 (M37) connector.

    2. Form Factor: Designed for installation in a standard 19-inch rack.

      • Height: 9.5 inches (This is equivalent to 2U in standard rack units).

      • Key Physical Attributes: Ultra-miniature enclosure, light weight, and compact volume for efficient rack space utilization.

    3. Key Features:

      • Bi-Directional Signal Conversion: Allows signals to flow in either direction (from BNCs to DB37 or from DB37 to BNCs).

      • Passive Operation: Requires NO AC Power or Batteries. Operates purely through the signal connections.

      • Robust Construction: Designed for steady capacity and reliable performance.

      • Easy Installation: Convenient installation into standard 19″ racks.

    4. Connectors:

      • Input/Output 1: 16 x Female BNC Coaxial Connectors (typically arranged in two vertical rows of 8).

      • Input/Output 2: 1 x Female DB37 Connector (also commonly referred to as M37, D-Subminiature 37-pin, or MIL-DTL-24308 connector). This is the primary interface for the multi-pin connection.

    5. Optional Cables:

      • DB37/MDR68 Cable: Pre-assembled cables are available as an option.

        • DB37 End: Male connector designed to plug directly into the converter’s female DB37 port.

        • MDR68 End: Features a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III circular connector (or equivalent ruggedized circular connector) with 68 pins (MDR = Miniature D Ribbon or commonly refers to MIL-DTL-38999). This end connects to compatible equipment.

      • Purpose: These cables provide a ready-made, robust connection between the converter and devices using the MDR68 interface, saving installation time and ensuring reliability.
