The coaxial illumination system projects white LED light directly along the optical axis and onto the ferrule end-face, reducing shadows and making fine defects easier to see.

For technicians working with different fiber connector types, the interchangeable adapter interface provides practical flexibility. The handheld optical microscope supports 2.5 mm ferrules for SC, ST, and FC connectors and 1.25 mm ferrules for LC and MU connectors, allowing one inspection tool to cover multiple commonly used connector formats.
