Introduction
This Single Channel EDFA Preamplifier is an EDFA (Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier) designed specifically for Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) optical transmission systems. Installed at the receiver side, it significantly enhances receiving sensitivity and extends optical transmission distance, making it ideal for long-haul and metro optical network applications.
The Single Channel Amplifier operates in the C-band (1530–1562 nm) and delivers high gain performance (up to 30 dB depending on configuration) with a low noise figure (typical ≤ 4.5 dB). It supports a wide input power range (-35 dBm to -25 dBm), ensuring stable performance in weak signal environments.
Built for carrier-grade reliability, the device is suitable for SDH, PDH, SONET, and optical Ethernet systems. It also supports flexible network management options and is designed for easy integration into access and metro optical networks.
