- Transmission Rate
The maximum transmission rate of WiFi5 is 3.5 Gbps, while the maximum rate of WiFi6 can reach 9.6 Gbps. WiFi 5 only involves the 5 Ghz frequency band, while WiFi 6 covers both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz frequency bands.
If a WiFi 6 device needs to be certified by the WiFi Alliance, it must use the WPA 3 security protocol, which is more secure. When we are using a public network, it improves the security of data transmission by personalizing data encryption. If the password is entered incorrectly multiple times, it will be considered an attack. So it will block WiFi authentication to prevent the emergence of brute force attacks. 4.OFDMA（Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access）
In the OFDM technology before OFDMA, the device uses a fixed bandwidth of 20, 40, and 80 MHz when transmitting data. When multiple users want to transmit data, no matter how large the data transmitted by each user, they must occupy a separate channel. Other users have to wait for the previous user to queue up to transmit data after the end of the transmission.
And OFDMA can divide the channel according to the size of each data according to the needs of the client. One client only occupies part of the channel resources, so that the data to be transmitted by multiple clients can get the same user experience on the truck at a faster speed at the same time. The space is fully utilized, the waiting time is also reduced, the efficiency is improved, and the delay is reduced.
MU-MIMO technology is already available in the WiFi 5 technical standard, but only supports downloading, not uploading. In the WiFi 6 technical standard, both download and upload are fully supported.
MU-MIMO technology allows multiple devices to communicate with the router simultaneously without waiting in line. However, unlike OFDMA, which allows communication with multiple users by subdividing the channel, MU-MIMO communicates with multiple users by using different spatial streams.
WiFi 6 uses 1024-QAM modulation technology. Compared with the 256-QAM modulation technology of WiFi 5, WiFi 6 encodes more data in the same amount of spectrum, increasing the data throughput of a single spatial stream by 25%, enabling faster transmission speeds when using high bandwidth applications.
