The Baudcom BD-S201FPI Series Gigabit Industrial PoE Media Converter is a rugged and versatile networking solution engineered for demanding environments. This all-in-one device seamlessly integrates a high-speed media converter, a Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, and an industrial-grade chassis, eliminating the need for multiple components. This is not a standard office converter. It is built as industrial-grade equipment, featuring a robust metal housing designed for extended temperature ranges, high EMI resistance, and reliable performance in demanding settings like factory floors, power substations, and outdoor cabinets. Its fanless design ensures silent, maintenance-free operation. Its core function is to extend your network reliably by converting fiber optic signals from the SFP uplink to copper Ethernet. The system’s redundancy is enabled by its Gigabit SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) slots. This allows network engineers to use any combination of compatible SFP optical modules (multi-mode or single-mode, for various distances) to match the existing fiber infrastructure.
One Gigabit RJ45 port supports the IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standard, supplying up to 30W per port to power devices like wireless APs, IP cameras, and industrial sensors directly over the network cable, simplifying installation and reducing costs. Offers non-blocking wire-speed forwarding and automatically detects PoE-compatible devices for safe, intelligent power delivery without risk to non-PoE equipment.
